Purchasing Intern
Determine the introductions and activities in accordance with the Project needs, Develop and generalize the Project Structure, Project IE Operations, 8D Teams for Project Needs.
Autoliv, a global leader in automotive safety systems, is seeking a motivated Purchasing Intern to join our Gebze plant. We manufacture and market airbags, seatbelts and steering wheels. This internship offers practical, hands‑on experience in purchasing and procurement activities within a manufacturing environment, supporting cost control, supplier relationships and material availability.
Key Responsibilities
Support the purchasing team with day‑to‑day procurement activities, including preparing purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Assist with supplier communication and follow‑up to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Contribute to supplier evaluation and onboarding processes, including collection of documentation and basic compliance checks.
Support cost analysis, price comparison and sourcing activities to identify opportunities for savings and process improvement.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with basic procurement concepts; experience with ERP or purchasing systems is desirable but not essential
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
A motivated, solution‑oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn
Who Are We Looking For?
3rd or4th‑year bachelor’s degree students studying Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Economics or related fields
Available to work a minimum of 3–4 days per week
Previous internship or project experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain is desirable but not essential
Interest in supplier management, cost control and procurement processes
